Raising Rafters

What got done this week?  Nothing!  Temperatures really dropped and the wind was fierce so, other than clearing snow, not a lot happened.

 

Last week, however, was great!  The pile of half-buried rafters made way to their final resting spot. 

 

 

 

I'm thankful I made it out there to document the last rafter being raised!

 

 

 

 

 

Building in the Winter

Last week was a nasty weather week!  Imagine working in 40-60 km/hour winds, -20 degrees Celcius, and snow.  The men kept building, their backs to the wind, and managed to complete three hip sections of the roof.  Determined?  Heck yeah!

It's back to work time!  Les spent yesterday clearing snow and setting up a cozy spot for our farm kittens.  They made themselves right at home.
